Well, The Charles River Wheelman are now at 40. The club is growing strong. I ride every Sunday in Andy’s ride. Everyone had a blast at the musuem. We got a tour of the restored bicycle fleet and had a great cookout. The watermelon was a great way to end a hot day!
I usually take liberty of shooting anything that interests me. You are probably aware of this already if you are a regular reviewer of my website. I find it very interesting to check out the different bicycles that people use in their daily commutes. I had to take a picture of these two lovers. Jake & Emily ride every day on their fixed-gear bicycles; they have geared bicycles for special occassions. They are masters of high cadence and the suffering. These two can ride long distances and longer distances. They have no problem taking their fixed gears over two hundred miles in a day. I find it fascinating and I wish them well. I like taking photography of cycling life and these two look mad about each other and cycling.

I also took a few pictures of the grand procession of members up the hill for the group photograph. Except the group photographer was shooting pictures with a videocamera. So how does that work for a group photo? I snapped a couple off. However, I was unable to get the perfect still picture as everyone was very animated for the camera. However, variety is the spice of life. I think a picture has more flair if they are looking natural and they fail to observe the camera.
The Charles River Wheelmen is a great cycling club to belong. Check out the website at www.crw.org. July is almost over and I have to submit my mileage for publication in the member’s newsletter. July has been great and we haven’t had any serious incidents on the road. I hope that everyone had a great time as I certainly did.
